Joe Burrow Madden 21 Ratings Revealed

The annual "Madden" rating reveals have become something of an offseason staple. Every year fans get the first glimpse of how their team's first-round pick might perform by checking out his rating in the game. Usually, rookies, and particularly rookie quarterbacks, are the first group revealed.

This year is no different.

Burrow is far and away the highest-rated rookie QB in the game. He's a full three points higher than Tua Tagovailoa, five higher than Jordan Love and a whopping six points above Justin Herbert.

And once you dive into the specific categories, Burrow separates himself even further. He's got the highest awareness rating (77), the highest toughness rating (96!) and the highest throw under pressure rating (84). He's also the most accurate rookie passer, pacing the class in short accuracy (88), medium accuracy (84) and deep accuracy (85).

Of course, a good "Madden" rating doesn't really mean much in terms of real-life football. But it's certainly a good sign for the reigning Heisman Trophy winner, at the very least.
