As has been the expectation all week, the Seattle Seahawks' backfield will be very thin for their Week 8 matchup against the San Francisco 49ers.

Both Chris Carson (foot) and Carlos Hyde (hamstring) are inactive, though Travis Homer (knee) is active, giving his fantasy outlook a nice boost.

The one-two punch of Carson and Hyde has combined for 97 carries and 32 targets, or an average of 21.5 opportunities per game this season. Even with DeeJay Dallas threatening to cut into some of the receiving work available, the potential to push toward 20 opportunities will almost always make an RB worth considering in fantasy football.

Homer does draw a really tough matchup here, however, taking on a 49ers defense that has held opposing RBs to the NFL's second-fewest fantasy points per game.

Don't feel the need to scramble to get Homer into your starting lineup, but if you're in a pinch, his potential for volume makes him a reasonable option.
