The Cleveland Browns offensive line hasn't been able to stay healthy as a unit throughout the 2021 NFL season. That trend continued in Week 8 when former first-round draft pick Jack Conklin went down with an elbow injury.

Head coach Kevin Stefanski revealed a troubling injury update on Monday morning, saying Conklin will be out "multiple weeks" with an officially diagnosed dislocated elbow.

Jack Conklin Injury Update

Conklin has been troubled by injuries throughout his sixth NFL season. While he's appeared and started six games, the two-time All-Pro missed Weeks 6 and 7 with a knee injury. He then played only 36% of the snaps in Week 8 after picking up the injury in the second quarter of Cleveland's loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The injury struggles are showing up in the box scores. Cleveland's 4-4 start is disappointing on its own and the team has allowed the seventh-most sacks (23) across the league. That's a far cry from the Browns operating with a healthy unit as Cleveland finished with a top-10 pass-protecting unit (26 sacks allowed) in 2020.

Cleveland squares off against their AFC North rival Cincinnati Bengals in Week 9, a matchup that sees them as 2.5-point road underdogs on FanDuel Sportsbook.
