If you're a fantasy manager whose Week 15 matchup isn't decided yet, you've probably been on edge all day with a trip to the fantasy championship on the line. And if you were counting on James Conner, things just got a whole lot more bleak.
Conner has been ruled out for the Pittsburgh Steelers' Monday Night Football matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals, giving Benny Snell Jr. a huge boost in fantasy value.
James Conner Injury Update
Nursing a quad injury, Conner made it through just 40% of the Steelers' offensive snaps in Week 14, but he still handled 10 carries, leaving just 3 available for Snell.
Benny Snell Fantasy Outlook
With Conner on the shelf, however, expect Snell's workload to grow significantly. In his first start of the season (Week 12), Snell played 71% of the team's snaps and racked up 20 opportunities (16 carries plus 4 targets).
His volume fell in Week 13 (when Conner was also out), but that was a game the Steelers lost, meaning they were forced to take a more pass-heavy approach.
FanDuel Sportsbook's Monday Night Football odds have the Steelers sitting as massive 14.5-point favorites tonight, meaning a run-heavy gameflow is likely in the cards. It wouldn't be a surprise to see Snell pushing 20-plus carries against the Bengals.
If you have the flexibility with most of the week behind us, you'll want to get Snell in your starting lineup.
