Alshon Jeffery Injury Update Crushes Week 5 Fantasy Value
By Max Staley

Alshon Jeffery looked like he was trending toward making his 2020 season debut in Week 5. That news couldn't have come at a better time, as the Philadelphia Eagles offense (and receiving corps, in particular) is extremely banged up right now.
Unfortunately, Jeffery was unable to practice on Thursday due to an illness, and he was only able to participate on a limited basis yesterday due to a nagging foot injury. The Eagles' wideout is looking unlikely to suit up against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday.
Alshon Jeffery Fantasy Outlook
Even if Jeffery is able to take the field, he wouldn't really be a recommended play. Philadelphia takes on a Pittsburgh defense that leads the league with a pressure rate of 46.5%. For reference, the second-place New England Patriots have a pressure rate of 30.9%.
It's going to be tough for this passing game to generate much of anything behind what's arguably the league's most-injured offensive line.
Still, given how banged up the rest of Philadelphia's pass-catchers are, Jeffery is worth a look in 12-team leagues. He's currently rostered in just 19% of Yahoo! fantasy leagues.
