The USWNT begin their quest for a third consecutive World Cup as heavy favorites against Vietnam. They enter the tournament as favorites to win it all (+220), with both the favorite to win the Golden Boot, Alex Morgan (+450), and the favorite to win the Golden Glove, Alyssa Naeher (+380), on their squad.

The United States enter Friday on an excellent run of form. Following a shocking three-match losing streak to England, Spain, and Germany last October, the USWNT rebounded, winning nine matches in a row by a combined score of 21-2. On the other side of the pitch, Vietnam are making their World Cup debut and enter Friday tied with nine other teams for the worst odds to win the tournament.
