NHL DFS is similar to MLB in terms of how you build lineups, how you view stacking, and how to value players.

Two main points to always focus on in NHL DFS are what lines the players are on and making sure the goalies you are rostering are confirmed as the starters.

Two of the best resources for that are LeftWingLock.com and DailyFaceOff.com. That is where you can find updated forward and power-play lines for each team, along with which goalies are confirmed as the starters.

Using our projections -- which are powered by numberFire -- as a guide, let's take a look at today's slate to find a goalie, some stacks, and value plays for your NHL DFS lineups on FanDuel.

NHL DFS Picks

Goalie to Target

Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen, Buffalo Sabres ($7,800)

With a terribly tough slate of goalie matchups to pick from tonight, the goalie I'm targeting will be Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen.

Luukkonen has been top of the line in terms of his overall play this season. Coming into tonight, he has a 2.54 goals against average and .910 save percentage. For much of the season, he's been the answer that the Buffalo Sabres have been looking for in net. The overall numbers that he's put together, including a 10th-best +15.79 goals saved above expectation, is why he's the one tonight in a matchup that shouldn't prove too difficult for him.

The Sabres will be facing off with the Montreal Canadiens, who are not a high-scoring team.

Montreal is scoring at a clip of only 2.73 Goals For per 60 minutes, ranking 27th in the league. The Canadiens are averaging 27.81 Shots per 60 minutes -- a fine enough rate to get Luukkonen decent save volume. And with how difficult these matchups are tonight for most goalies, he's a safe bet to deliver for us.

Our projections have Luukkonen finishing with 18.4 FanDuel points.

Stacks

Toronto Maple Leafs

The Toronto Maple Leafs have an ideal matchup against a Arizona Coyotes team that has lost 10 straight games.

In the 10-game losing streak, the Coyotes are allowing an average of 4.59 Goals Against per 60 minutes -- the most of any team in that span. Arizona has the third worst Corsi Against per 60 minutes (67.52), as well, setting up all the opportunities that the Maple Leafs need to light up the scoreboard tonight.

Toronto has been a force offensively -- as expected -- this season. The Maple Leafs are in the top 10 in Corsi For per 60 minutes (63.5), Goals For per 60 minutes (3.51), and Shots For per 60 minutes (32.35). It's hard to doubt them tonight against a team that is struggling so badly.

Stacking the Maple Leafs is simple. You go with Auston Matthews ($10,300) and Mitchell Marner ($8,800) with how the first-line duo has performed. Matthews leads the NHL with 49 goals, including 7 over his last three games. The salaries are way up there, but these two can break the slate.

William Nylander ($9,800) and John Tavares ($7,600) are also great options as they play on the second line and also on the top power play with Matthews and Marner.

Edmonton Oilers

In the premier game of the evening, the Boston Bruins and Edmonton Oilers go head-to-head.

These two teams are among the best in hockey, and it's not often that we look to stack against Boston, but tonight may be the right time to do so.

The Oilers enter the night with the third-best implied total of the slate with a 3.45, per numberFire's heat map.

Boston allows a fair share of chances to their opponents -- certainly more than you'd expect. They have a 60.73 Corsi Against per 60 minutes, ranking 19th in the NHL. They're also allowing 30.76 Shots Against per 60 minutes, the 10th-most. The Oilers -- who have one of the best offenses in the league -- should be able to take advantage of that.

Linus Ullmark will be between the pipes for the Bruins. He's had a strong campaign but allowed five goals in his last outing and has had some rough stretches throughout the year.

The Oilers are up to 3.53 Goals For per 60 minutes, good for fourth in the league. A lot of that has come on the back of Connor McDavid ($10,000) and his line. Setting up a stack with the reigning MVP and his linemate, Leon Draisaitl ($9,300), is a good way to start. Other options in this lineup include Zach Hyman ($8,700), Ryan Nugent-Hopkins ($7,600), and Evan Bouchard ($7,500).

Value Skaters

Morgan Frost, C, Philadelphia Flyers ($5,000)

Hitting on a value skater can be huge tonight. The best option for this slate is looking like Morgan Frost.

The Philadelphia Flyers' forward has had a fine campaign thus far. Through 45 games, Frost has 9 goals, 18 assists, and 27 points. He's even more interesting right now because he's posted a point in four of his last five games.

Frost's role is about as good as it gets for someone at this salary. He centers the second line with Travis Konecny on his right while also centering the top power-play unit for the Flyers.

Our projections expect him to finish with 12.6 FanDuel points tonight.

Ryan Strome, C, Anaheim Ducks ($4,600)

Ryan Strome is in a good spot to deliver as a low-salary play.

It isn't all too surprising that the Anaheim Ducks have had a tough season, but Strome has done his best to put together a respectable campaign.

Strome has 30 points on the year thanks to 9 goals and 21 assists. His role -- more than anything else -- is what makes him an appealing value today. He's playing on the left wing on the first line for the Ducks as well as the first power-play unit, giving him quality usage for a player who is $4,600.

In his last five games, he's recorded six points and has posted two games of five shots each. Facing off with the Columbus Blue Jackets, there should be an opportunity to get shots on goal and put one on the board, as Columbus is allowing 32.85 Shots per 60 minutes.

Strome is projected to finish with 12.4 FanDuel points, per numberFire's model.
