Rapaport: Broncos' Courtland Sutton will report to mandatory minicamp
NFL Network's Ian Rapaport reports that Denver Broncos wide receiver Courtland Sutton will report to the team's mandatory minicamp next week.
What It Means
Sutton has been absent from the team's early, voluntary meetings and practices, but has communicated that he will be with the team next week as they gather for mandatory minicamp. The veteran receiver should be expected to operate as the team's WR1 this season after the Broncos traded former teammate Jerry Jeudy to the Cleveland Browns.
Sutton was arguably the only receiver that produced consistent numbers with former quarterback Russell Wilson under center for Denver over the last two years, even catching a career-best 10 touchdowns from Wilson in 2023. With reduced competition for targets and with a solid enough year from expected starter Bo Nix, Sutton could even finally post his second career 1,000-yard season.
