The NFL doesn’t end with the 1:00 ET slate of games. The NFL's late-afternoon Sunday slate offers a smaller group of games, but that does not mean there is a shortage of appealing player prop opportunities.

Using our NFL projections as a guide, here are some NFL player props and betting picks we like for today’s late slate.

Today’s Best NFL Picks and Prop Bets for the Late Slate

Brock Purdy Under 13.5 Rushing Yards (-114)

Dolphins vs. 49ers (4:25 p.m. ET)

The San Francisco 49ers are 13.5-point home favorites over the Miami Dolphins, and I think that makes the under appealing on Brock Purdy‘s rushing prop at this line of 13.5 yards.

In wins in his career, Purdy has run for an average of 9.9 yards per game — a significant drop from his average of 19.9 rushing yards per game in losses.

A campaign ago, Purdy started in four games in which the Niners won by more than 11 points. In those four games, he averaged 3.0 rushing attempts and 13.0 rushing yards. The yardage total in that split is heavily skewed by a 44-yard rushing day in a 13-point win over the Titans. In the other three games in the split, Purdy ran for -7, 4 and 11 yards.

There’s also a chance Purdy takes a knee or two late, which would help the under.

Broncos -2.5 (-120)

Jaguars vs. Broncos (4:05 p.m. ET)

I'm willing to buy low on the Denver Broncos after an ugly Week 1 performance.

Denver opened its season with a 31-10 loss at Kansas City, managing only 176 total yards. Bo Nix threw for just 131 yards with one touchdown and one interception, so there wasn't much to like about the Broncos' offensive showing.

However, this is a much different setup. Denver returns home to Empower Field at Mile High, where it was extremely difficult to beat last season. The Broncos went 8-1 at home during the 2025 regular season, with their lone loss coming against this same Jacksonville Jaguars team in Week 16.

Jacksonville certainly deserves respect after rolling to a 34-10 victory over Cleveland in Week 1. The Jaguars produced 360 total yards while holding the Browns to 10 points, and they're riding a nine-game regular-season winning streak dating back to last year.

Still, I'm willing to bet on a significant response from Denver. This was a 14-win team last season that earned the AFC's No. 1 seed, and Sean Payton's team now gets to return home after opening against a strong Kansas City team at Arrowhead.

There's also a meaningful difference between laying 2.5 points and crossing the key number of three. Denver doesn't need to dominate this game to cash the bet; a field-goal victory gets us there.

Terry McLaurin Anytime Touchdown (+200)

Commanders vs. Cowboys (4:25 p.m. ET)

Terry McLaurin had a quiet Week 1 game. I like him to bounce back and score a touchdown in Week 2.

McLaurin made only two catches in his season opener at the Eagles. He has a much nicer matchup this week, playing indoors against a shoddy Dallas Cowboys defense.

Even in the down outing in Week 1, McLaurin paced the Washington Commanders‘ wideouts in snap rate (87%) by a wide margin, with no other Washington WRs seeing a snap share above 63%.

McLaurin has hit pay dirt in two of his past three games versus Dallas, and in a game that offers shootout potential — high total (50.5) and fairly close spread (4.5) — McLaurin’s TD odds are appealing.
