Dallas Mavericks center Dereck Lively (neck) could play in Game 5 against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Thursday, reports Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium.
What It Means
Lively injured his neck in Game 3 and was inactive for Game 4, but he avoided the concussion protocol and has a chance to play on Thursday. Daniel Gafford will have a smaller role if Lively is cleared. There would also be fewer minutes for Maxi Kleber and Dwight Powell.
