Tim Anderson (back) returns to Marlins Tuesday
Miami Marlins infielder Tim Anderson will start at shortstop and hit sixth on Tuesday against left-hander Robert Gasser and the Milwaukee Brewers.
What It Means
The Marlins activated Anderson from the 10-day injured list on Tuesday after he completed a minimum stay due to back soreness. Anderson will replace Vidal Brujan at shortstop on Tuesday and Otto Lopez will remain on second base. Tristan Gray was optioned to Triple-A Jacksonville in a corresponding roster move.
numberFire's models project Anderson for 7.2 and Lopez for 8.1 FanDuel points on Tuesday. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Marlins' implied total (3.74) is No. 26 in the majors today. Gasser has allowed just 1 run through 11 innings in his first two starts, and recorded 6 strikeouts with 1 walk.
