The Cincinnati Reds did not list Christian Encarnacion-Strand in their lineup for Sunday's game against the Texas Rangers.
What It Means
The Reds will have Spencer Steer cover first base on Sunday, giving Encarnacion-Strand the afternoon off. The second-year infielder has struggled to open the season, so hopefully the off day helps him find his stride. He's batting just .196 in his first 108 plate appearances this season.
