San Diego Padres infielder Jackson Merrill has been scratched from Thursday's lineup against right-hander Dakota Hudson and the Colorado Rockies due to right groin tightness.
What It Means
Tyler Wade will move out to left field and Jose Azocar will cover center field. Eguy Rosario was initially held out, but he will now start on third base and bat eighth. This will be Merrill's first absence since April 3.
