Padres give David Peralta Monday evening off

Peralta will take a seat Monday while the Padres try out Bryce Johnson in right field and have him hit ninth against the Nationals. Peralta is projected to make 117 more plate appearances this season, with 2 homers, 13 runs, 13 RBI, and a .250 batting average, but could see consistent work over the next few weeks with Fernando Tatis Jr. (elbow, quad) on the injured list.
