Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder Lourdes Gurriel is not in the lineup for Tuesday's series opener against the Texas Rangers.
What It Means
The Diamondbacks are giving Gurriel the day off after he went 1-for-11 in the weekend series against the Miami Marlins. Jake McCarthy will replace Gurriel in left field and hit sixth on Tuesday. Pavin Smith will replace Randal Grichuk in the other outfield corner and bat fifth.
