New York Mets outfielder Harrison Bader is not in the lineup for Thursday's series opener against right-hander Zac Gallen and the Arizona Diamondbacks.
What It Means
Bader went 1-for-6 with a run and a walk over the last two games. Brandon Nimmo will replace Bader in center field and hit third. DJ Stewart will man left field and bat second. J.D. Martinez will serve as the designated hitter and cleanup batter for the Mets on Thursday.
