Esteury Ruiz absent for Athletics Tuesday night

Ruiz led off against a lefty in Monday's series opener and went 1-for-4 with a double, a stolen base, and a run. Seth Brown will replace Ruiz in left field and hit fifth on Tuesday. Lawrence Butler will start in the other outfield corner and take over for Ruiz as the leadoff batter.
