Cole Tucker designated for assignment by Los Angeles Monday
Los Angeles Angels infielder Cole Tucker has been designated for assignment on Monday, the team announced.
What It Means
Brandon Drury is ready to make his return to the field after spending over a month on the 10-day injured list with a hamstring strain. To make room on the active roster, Tucker was DFA'd. He'll be placed on waivers, and if left unclaimed, he can either accept an outright assignment to Triple-A or elect free agency.
In 57 plate appearnces this season, Drury has a .180 batting average with a .563 OPS.
