MLB Same Game Parlay Bets for Tuesday 6/25/24

Cleveland Guardians at Baltimore Orioles

Logan Allen Under 4.5 Strikeouts (-170)
Anthony Santander to Record an RBI (+110)
Baltimore Orioles Alternate Total Runs: Over 3.5 (-245)

Combined Odds: +259

Logan Allen hasn't shown much upside in the strikeout department this season, and he'll face a Baltimore Orioles squad that excels versus southpaws. While the Orioles strike out at the eighth-highest rate (23.5%), they also own the sixth-best wOBA (.331), sixth-best wRC+ (118), and second-best ISO (.187) against left-handed pitching.

Meanwhile, Allen is producing a below-average 4.69 xFIP and 4.69 SIERA through 15 starts for the Cleveland Guardians. Allen also ranks in just the 7th percentile in chase rate (22.6%), 23rd percentile in whiff rate (21.4%), and 22nd percentile in strikeout rate (18.0%).

Aside from going four straight starts with three or fewer strikeouts, Allen has only five starts this year where he's achieved five-plus Ks. With Allen permitting a .391 wOBA, .546 SLG, and 1.56 WHIP to right-handed hitters, Anthony Santander is a batter to focus on from the Orioles.

Santander has performed well against lefties in 2024, posting a .380 wOBA, 151 wRC+, and .250 ISO in that split. Hitting early in Baltimore's talented lineup has helped Santander record at least one RBI in seven of his last 10 outings.

Ahead of another Dinger Tuesday, Santander is being given +370 odds to hit a home run.

Given Allen's woes on the bump, taking Baltimore to score four-plus runs at home seems like an ideal wager. The Orioles have tallied four-plus runs in 15 of their 23 games in June, and they average 4.93 runs per game at home.

Los Angeles Dodgers at Chicago White Sox

Chris Flexen Under 3.5 Strikeouts (+118)
Freddie Freeman to Record 2+ Total Bases (-110)

Combined Odds: +285

Chris Flexen has never been classified as a strikeout pitcher, and the same holds true to begin the 2024 campaign. Besides registering the lowest swinging strike rate (9.4%) of his career since 2021, Flexen is sitting in the 29th percentile in whiff rate (22.1%) and 23rd percentile in strikeout rate (18.2%) across 14 starts for the Chicago White Sox.

Additionally, Flexen has failed to reach four-plus Ks in two of his last three appearances. The Los Angeles Dodgers boast the third-lowest strikeout rate (17.9%), sixth-best wOBA (.352), fifth-best wRC+ (131), and fourth-best ISO (.210) in the last 14 days. This matchup is going to make it tough for Flexen to hit his strikeout prop.

Among the players who could make things tough on Flexen, Freddie Freeman draws a favorable matchup. Freeman is crushing right-handed pitchers to the tune of a .429 wOBA, 183 wRC+, .235 ISO, and 15.7% strikeout rate in that split.

Meanwhile, Flexen is allowing a .374 wOBA, 2.42 HR/9, and 1.42 WHIP to left-handed bats, compared to a .313 wOBA, 0.76 HR/9, and 1.37 WHIP to right-handed bats. Provided those splits, Freeman is carrying +370 odds to hit a home run.

Just note that there are potential weather concerns in Tuesday's Dodgers-White Sox matchup.

Texas Rangers at Milwaukee Brewers

Christian Yelich to Record 2+ Total Bases (+125)
Milwaukee Brewers Over 4.5 Total Runs (-108)

Combined Odds: +243

Even though Andrew Heaney is giving up more homers to right-handed hitters, he's seeing worse results when facing left-handed hitters. Through 14 starts for the Texas Rangers, Heaney is giving up a .336 wOBA, 1.71 WHIP, and 18.2% strikeout rate to lefties, compared to a .314 wOBA, 1.21 WHIP, and 23.6% strikeout rate to righties.

That puts me on Christian Yelich to tally two-plus bases on Tuesday. Yelich currently leads the Milwaukee Brewers in wOBA (.413) and wRC+ (170) while logging the third-best ISO (.188) against left-handed pitchers this season.

The veteran outfielder for the Brewers is in solid form with at least one hit in 13 of his last 15 games. Being that Yelich hasn't displayed much power versus southpaws this year, he's considered a longshot at +630 odds to hit a home run.

On the surface, Milwaukee doesn't appear to be a team we want to target against left-handed pitching. The Brewers are producing just the 12th-lowest wOBA (.299), 9th-lowest wRC+ (92), and 8th-lowest ISO (.128) versus that handedness.

However, Milwaukee has earned the 3rd-best wOBA (.355), 3rd-best wRC+ (130), and 10th-best ISO (.175) when facing a left-handed pitcher at home. With the Brewers also averaging 5.23 runs per game at Miller Park -- and Heaney surrendering three-plus earned runs in three straight starts -- there's a decent shot for Milwaukee to plate five-plus runs.
