MLB Prop Bets: MLB Props for Today

Hunter Brown Over 4.5 Strikeouts (-142)

Astros vs. Phillies, 6:41 p.m. ET

Hunter Brown - Strikeouts

Hunter Brown Over
Sep 9 10:41pm UTCMore odds in Sportsbook

Hunter Brown has one of the more appealing strikeout setups on Wednesday when the Houston Astros visit the Philadelphia Phillies.

Brown owns a 3.31 ERA and 93 strikeouts across 87 innings this season. He's also coming off a seven-strikeout performance against the White Sox on September 3 and had 10 strikeouts against the Mets on August 28. He’s gone over 4.5 Ks in six of his past eight starts.

This prop is low enough for me to prefer the over even though Philadelphia has a potent offense.

Cody Bellinger to Record 1+ RBI (+170)

Rockies vs. Yankees, 7:06 p.m. ET

To Record An RBI
Cody Bellinger

Cody Bellinger‘s RBI prop is my favorite hitter prop today.

The New York Yankees face Colorado Rockies right-hander Tomoyuki Sugano at Yankee Stadium. Sugano has a 4.87 SIERA and 14.0% strikeout rate. Lefties have mauled him to the tune of a .378 wOBA.

Bellinger has produced particularly well when runners are already on base. He’s got a .318 average, .408 OBP and .600 slugging percentage with men on base this season, including a .282 ISO and 177 wRC+.

He's also hitting in a premium spot in the Yankees' lineup, which gives him a strong opportunity to drive in runs against a Rockies pitching staff that has struggled throughout the season.

Max Muncy to Record 2+ H/R/RBI (-115)

Reds vs. Dodgers, 10:11 p.m. ET

Player To Record 2+ Hits + Runs + RBIs
Max Muncy

I like Max Muncy‘s matchup in tonight’s Los Angeles Dodgers-Cincinnati Reds clash.

Cincinnati is starting right-hander Rhett Lowder, who owns a 5.43 ERA, 1.49 WHIP and 1.24 HR/9 across 116 innings this season. Lowder has surrendered a .359 wOBA and 1.56 homers per nine to lefty bats.

Muncy has been particularly effective against right-handed pitching in 2026. He is batting .248 against righties with 20 home runs, 53 RBIs and an .835 OPS in the split.

The recent form is encouraging, too. Muncy had two hits, including a double, in four at-bats against Cincinnati last night, and he had three hits in four at-bats against Washington on September 6.

MLB Prop Bets -- Frequently Asked Questions

What are MLB player prop bets?

MLB player prop bets are wagers on specific statistical outcomes tied to individual players during a game — not on which team wins or loses. You might bet on how many strikeouts a starting pitcher records, whether a shortstop gets a hit, or how many total bases an outfielder accumulates.

Because they are isolated to a single player's performance, props let you apply focused knowledge about matchups, recent form, and ballpark conditions rather than predicting the full game result.

What types of MLB player props are available?

FanDuel offers a wide menu of MLB props. The most common categories include:

  • Pitcher strikeouts
  • Batter hits
  • Home runs
  • Total bases
  • RBIs
  • Stolen bases
  • Pitcher outs recorded

How do MLB player prop bet odds work?

MLB prop odds use the standard American (moneyline) format. A negative number shows how much you must wager to profit $100. A positive number shows how much a $100 bet returns in profit.

  • -110 odds — bet $110 to win $100
  • +130 odds — bet $100 to win $130
  • -200 odds — bet $200 to win $100

What does "total bases" mean as a prop bet?

The total bases prop counts the bases a batter earns from hits in a single game:

  • Single = 1 base
  • Double = 2 bases
  • Triple = 3 bases
  • Home run = 4 bases

Walks, hit-by-pitches, and stolen bases do not count. A typical total bases line is set at 1.5 or 2.5. Betting over 1.5 means you need at least a double, or two singles.
