Manchester City vs. Crystal Palace Prediction, Picks and Projected Lineups

Manchester City vs Crystal Palace Picks in Summary

  • Manchester City Moneyline (-150)

The second week of the 2026-27 Premier League season gets underway Friday when Crystal Palace hosts Manchester City at Selhurst Park.

Both clubs are operating under new managers, with Pierre Sage taking over at Palace and Enzo Maresca now in charge of City. Their opening weekends produced very different results. Palace suffered a 2-0 defeat at Everton, while City needed two late goals to come from behind for a 2-1 victory over Bournemouth.

City vs. Palace Lineups, Picks, Prediction

Manchester City Moneyline (-150)

Manchester City's season opener wasn't particularly convincing, but I'm willing to back the visitors to leave Selhurst Park with three more points.

City dominated this matchup in league play last season, winning 3-0 in both meetings. That included a 3-0 victory at Selhurst Park in December, giving City six unanswered goals across the two league fixtures.

Palace also didn't provide many reasons for optimism in its opener. The Eagles lost 2-0 to Everton and now have to deal with a significant step up in competition. There are also some questions surrounding Palace's attack, with Ismaila Sarr dealing with a groin injury ahead of Friday's match.

City didn't produce its best football against Bournemouth, but it continued pushing until Marc Guéhi and Josko Gvardiol scored in the final minutes to turn a 1-0 deficit into a 2-1 win. W

ith Erling Haaland, Phil Foden, Antoine Semenyo and Rayan Cherki giving Enzo Maresca plenty of attacking options, I like City to make it two wins from two.

City vs Palace Possible Lineups

Man City Possible Starting XI: Gianluigi Donnarumma; Abdukodir Khusanov, Ruben Dias, Marc Guehi, Josko Gvardiol; Elliot Anderson, Nico O'Reilly; Phil Foden, Rayan Cherki, Antoine Semenyo; Erling Haaland

Crystal Palace Possible Starting XI: Dean Henderson; Jaydee Canvot, Chris Richards, Takehiro Tomiyasu; Daniel Munoz, Daichi Kamada, Adam Wharton, Tyrick Mitchell; Dwight McNeil, Yeremy Pino; Jorgen Strand Larsen

Soccer Betting FAQ

What is a moneyline bet in soccer?

A moneyline bet is a wager on which team will win the match. Because soccer matches can end in a draw, most moneyline markets include three options: the home team, the away team, or a draw.

What does “draw no bet” mean?

Draw no bet removes the draw as a losing outcome. If the match ends tied, your wager is refunded. If your team wins, the bet wins.

What is a soccer total?

A total is a bet on how many combined goals will be scored in a match. For example, an Over 2.5 Goals bet wins if at least three goals are scored.

What does “both teams to score” mean?

Both Teams to Score, often abbreviated BTTS, is a wager on whether each team will score at least one goal during the match.
