OCEAN MELODY (7) was a beaten favourite at Tauherenikau nearly 2 weeks ago, and the step up to 1 ?m will suit her. She gets a superior gate and must go close to winning this. Follow your money. EARLY ONE'S (1) was beaten by a nose at Trentham 17 days ago over a mile, and he should relish getting back to a longer trip here. A wet track would help him, and he can go one better. VANRIO (3) is a touch one-paced, and he would appreciate a heavy track. He is likely to put himself in a forward position early on and could out-grind his rivals here. Include in all top 4 combos. STONE STREET (8) has improved since being ridden more positively, and she only went down by a nose when trying to make all the running at Whanganui last time out. She may take some pegging back here as well, so stick with her. WAITOTARA WARRIOR (4) whacked away well for fourth at Hawera last time out on a good track, and he can figure in the top 3 here is the track is wet.
