NZ - Waverley - Race 1

MARVIE (11) set a strong clip up front at Whanganui last start before fighting on and finishing fourth as the favourite, just under 2 lengths from the winner. She has a better gate here, and the field is not that strong. Craig Grylls sticks with her, and so do we. CHELSEA ROSE (8) has improved this season and has been heading the right way with her form, finishing runner-up as a loose favourite at Otaki nearly 3 weeks ago. She has had a couple of gear changes since then, and can go one better. NED KELLY (6) had needed his racing for experience, and was much better when finishing runner-up at Whanganui 9 days ago. He has a superior gate this time, and he will be hard to hold out, especially on a wet track. JUSTKO PRINCE (2) needed his fresh-up run over 1 ¼m at Tauherenikau nearly 4 weeks ago, and he is well worth including in all combos here. VANRIO (1) was beaten by a wide gate at Otaki last start, and he can improve in this. Each way value.
