Verdict

Competitive contest to close us out. BIG BRUTE (2) was super fresh when narrowly missing at Oakbank. Is sure to have come on from that and has enough pace to offset a tricky draw. Leading player. FASHION DOG (5) was good fresh when scoring here, then caught the eye last start in town when flashing home into midfield. Freshened with 51 days, keeping the legs ticking over with two trials. Drawn to advantage for Toeroek and looks a huge hope. MEG'S MAGIC (12) turned in a much stronger showing when pushed forward last time at Gawler, only missing by 0.7L. Strips rock-hard fit and gets a key booking in Crowther, signalling intent. Bold showing anticipated. LAPILLI (11) bounced back to her best here last start when making light work of easier opposition. Tougher this time and is drawn horribly, but does deserve respect. Needs some luck. LASTAR (4) broke a run of outs last time at Kingscote. Can build off that and give this a shake.
