Veteran ARCHDEACON (6) has won just three races from 73 starts but his last effort was an eye-opener, coming from last at one stage to be beaten narrowly over 6 ¾f at Strathalbyn. Won't find this as tough and over the slightly longer journey he could make a rare visit to the winner's circle. MAGIC PRINCESS (4) will be hard to beat after her respectable sixth first-up over 6f at Strathalbyn. Has two wins and three placings at today's trip so expect her to improve with that run under the belt. ARTPARK (1) had a six-week let-up before his last run, a closing fifth over a similar distance to this at Hamilton. Has won here before and should prove tough to stop with that last run tightening him right up. DODGY ELEMENT (8) returned from a one-month let-up with a far better performance last time out, beaten under two lengths over 6f at Strathalbyn. Suited by the extra 1 ?f and should be thereabouts. LYSANDER (5) is finding it hard to win but recent efforts have been sound.
