Verdict

GRINZINGER HALO (10) has been giving away too much ground after drawing wide gates but finally gets a kinder barrier here. She should be nearing peak fitness now and has already proven herself over this track and trip. SWYCHO (9) has gone down narrowly at her past two starts but strips fitter again and looks ready to put it all together this time. FALSTAFFIAN (5) was dominant first-up at Geelong, leading throughout to break his maiden in style. This is tougher but he has upside and should give another bold sight on speed. ASTUNNER (1) also looks likely to press forward and take running down in front. The 7lbs claim is a valuable asset and keeps him right in the mix. HEAD OF THE HERD (2) continues to race in terrific form and can't be overlooked.
