Verdict

Intriguing race with a few different angles. Just don't think SIGNATURE SCENT (6) is a heavy tracker. Well off best after getting too far back last time in the Carlyon Stakes. Best form is more than up to this and ran three very good races here - including a win - earlier this year over the carnival. Gets chance to bounce back. SIR NOW (2) doreen,'t know how to run a bad race. Overcame the wide draw to score in the G3 Behemoth Stakes here last time and is the one to run down off a low draw this time. BASSETT BABE (8) is an emerging type with good form over the autumn including a stakes placing in Melbourne. Returned with a big win and can measure up again. WATCHME WIN (3) has been racing in Melbourne in the Monash and Bletchingly Stakes. Has a strong record back here at home. SMOOTH CHINO (1) comes here with the strong WA form, a great strike-rate, goes very well fresh, is up to stakes class and despite the weight can't be left out.
