UPTOWN MONK (4) is a Tagaloa gelding on debut for the Clarken yard and shapes as a ready-made type. A half to the talented SA mare Second To Nun, he looked sharp winning his recent trial and draws to stalk the speed under Crowther. A bright start is firmly on the cards. IT'S GNARLY (3) is another debutant with promise, this time from the Logan McGill stable. The Tassort gelding has jumped out well in Victoria and should be very competitive, though he'll need a slice of luck from the wide alley. DISCREETLY BLUE (1) had solid support when resuming but just lacked the knockout punch. He'll be better for the run and is worth sticking with. PRESTIGE KA YING (9) is edging closer to a breakthrough and won't be far away again, though she'll need to lift slightly to win this. YARRAWIZARDHARRY (5) resumes and looks the best of the rest.
