Verdict

ABRAFO (3) resumes. He was just fair in one run last time in but it was in a much stronger maiden than this and he was only beaten three lengths. The debut effort prior was solid when in the market at Geelong and he looks to have come back better off a trial win. Suspect he'll go close. ZAYYANO (7) ran a solid race first up at Pakenham, boxing on for fourth. He was first up over a mile there and now comes back in trip which is interesting but he should be fitter and can improve. PICK A SYMPHONY (2) is knocking on the door with four minor placings this time in. He won't need to improve much to be breaking through. SUNBURNT COUNTRY (6) can be an improver fresh, now with the Freedman yard.

Third race start. First start second last of 11 at Benalla Mdn-Sw on September 2 over 6f, on a slow track, 11 len behind The Narrator carrying 126lbs at $2.90. Returned from break tracked the speed and boxed on steadily 4th of 8 at Pakenham 3yo Mdn-Sw on January 16 over 1m, 3 len behind Miss Maranda with 128lbs at $16. Fitter for that run and expected to be in the finish this time.
