Verdict

Two key chances have come out on raceday and that leaves THE FLYING POPOV (5) on top. He has just been fair in two runs back from a spell but should relish getting over a bit more ground now and the Lane/Waller combination has to be respected. Suspect he'll improve quickly here. BILLY THE BOSS (4) was better last time at Yarra Valley when holding his ground for fifth. He'll roll forward in a race without a stack of pressure and give a bold sight. ARCELIA (6) was close up on debut, a bit disappointing last time at Geelong. She'll relish any more ground and gets blinkers on here. Could be an improver at odds. VEINS WITHIN ROCK (3) is having his sixth run of his maiden campaign. He had excuses at Cranbourne and his prior form has him in the mix.
