SKUA (13) resumes. He ran well in a stronger race on debut at Newcastle, beaten 1.1 lengths by the handy Southend. Since turned out, he should take beating with a bit more experience. SOULSEASE RIVER (14) made good improvement at start two when getting into third here over this route. He'll be fitter again for that but does draw very wide. NIGHT GUARD (15) tried hard in a handy maiden last time out at Cranbourne when third. He can settle handy and take beating. BELFAST BOY (2) is a gelding by Camelot on debut for the Hayes yard. He's bred to get a much longer trip but 7f is a good kickoff and he can run well.
