Verdict

VEOMAS (13) on top. He was beaten at $1.50 first up at Kilmore having been in the market in two hot races the preparation prior, including in the best maiden of the season behind Planet Red and Observer. He's won a trial very well since that fresh run and maps ideally here with the extra fitness. Can atone. MISSAPPREHEND (11) worked home well on debut at Geelong to be beaten under a length. She'll be better for that experience and is worth keeping safe. POSH DIAMANTE (12) found the line nicely on debut at Pakenham over 5f and should relish the rise to 6f here. If she can hold a spot from the low gate she'll be hard to hold out. TALLADEGA GIRL (16) resumes having been well beaten on debut at Sale when in the market. That can be excused on wet ground having pulled up with an issue, she's been trialling well and should be a sharp improver.
