Verdict

This race has fallen away a bit and leaves DRAMATICUS (10) exceptionally place. He's flying, just missing last start as favourite at Pakenham having won well prior. He maps ideally on speed and should prove too hard to run down. PREFERENTIAL (7) resumes having won over 1 5/16m before a long break. No doubt this is on the sharp side but the peak figures have him in the mix and Stackhouse booked is a handy lead. EPIMELES (8) hasn't fired in two runs back off a long, injury-enforced spell but he showed very good ability early days and could be ready to improve sharply. MR BUTT'S BOATS (12) is relatively lightly raced, winning well at Swan Hill last time out. He'll land in a handy spot and give a sight.
