Only a couple of these can be ruled out. HELLUVA BARTY (1) came from last to get within a long neck of Blondie's Award when they clashed over this trip at Moe last start. Hasn't won in an eternity but that last effort was most encouraging. Sure to prove tough to resist. BRING ME POWER (2) was beaten half a length in a stronger race here at this distance two runs back. Failed at Flemington subsequently but he looks a real threat back in this more suitable assignment. THE GOV (6) impressed three back over this trip at Cranbourne but has been a little disappointing since. Has a fine record at this journey over many seasons so she deserves one more chance. EL SALTO (7) won a similar race here two starts ago carrying today's weight. Definite contender if he can recapture that form. BLONDIE'S AWARD (4) held on to beat Helluva Barty at Moe last time. Meets him 2kgs worse but should be in contention again.
