Verdict

JUST MAGIC (2) looks the one to beat. She was a narrow maiden winner two back at Pakenham Synthetic before a good effort here when beaten a long neck. Still has upside and will be very hard to hold out again. RUSSIAN DUCHESS (4) presents third up off two solid runs this time in, she should be hard to hold out. WRITTEN STORY (8) has mixed her form since resuming but should be hitting her straps now. Expecting Sugawara to have the mare blending into it at just the right time. ROSE OF SHALAA (5) went better than her form reads last time when sent forward, only to be grabbed late. Been kept fresh with a month in between and shouldn't be easily dismissed.
