SMART CAT (4) recorded a gutsy maiden victory last time out over 6f at this track, scoring by a neck. Is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement. Looks well placed and he is capable of getting the job done again. ELLIOT NESS (1) has put together back-to-back placings, the latest when 2.5 lengths away in second over 5 ¾f at this track. Better than most of these and should be in the finish. IMPERIAL GENIE (5) missed the placings two runs back then improved last start but found a couple better over 5 ¾f at this track, beaten 2.25 lengths. Anticipating another big run. LIGHTNING GAL (7) was beaten 3 lengths into fourth over 5 ¾f at this track last time out. Has her share of talent and is a top-three prospect.
