COSMIC GEM (4) sat handier last time out and was just 1.4L off the winner in a good performance in a tougher maiden. Easier here, though the wide draw is the query. Needs a touch of luck, but just needs to replicate his latest performance to be getting the job done here. I'M ALL THE FUNK (11) closed nicely from the second half of the field on debut, finishing 1.5L off the winner when a $4 chance. The rise in trip looks perfect for her now, as does the inside draw. Had trialled well coming into her debut and with improvement expected, she can make a statement. BUDERIM (2) had looked good at the trials coming into this campaign but could only manage a 4.1L defeat at Bunbury first-up. The form out of that has been solid and the rise in trip looks ideal. Can feature in the finish. BELLE BELLE (7) can go close as she rises in trip again third-up. MISS ROMPIN (10) won't be far away.
