PIPERITA (7) has raced exclusively in town this prep and been competitive at all four runs. Wound up late to grab fourth last start in a BM72 over 7f at the Kensington track. Is a winner here at this trip and is perfectly placed to add to that record today. Stablemate HOW MUCH BETTER (2) last raced when fourth at Warwick Farm over 7f five weeks back. Has won two races and both came here on his home track. Good fresh performer who has the right credentials to take this out. IL PASSERO (5) gets back in his races but manages to find the line. Recent efforts in town have been solid enough. Will settle towards the rear again from the wide alley but is one to watch for late in proceedings. WIZARDS (4) was last at the races on Boxing Day when he flew home to be beaten in a three-way thriller over 6 ¾f at the Beaumont circuit. Placed at two of three runs over this distance so while fresh he is a genuine contender. HYDROMETER (3) can improve dropping back to the provincials.
