PARIAH ENGAGEMENT (12) had very few friends in the betting but pulled off an impressive win over 6f at Gosford last start, coming from near the tail at the top of the short straight to just arrive in time. Will be hard to hold out over an extra ½f today. BANTARKI (5) is going well in open company sprints around the mid north coast. Has led for home at the last three but been reeled in on each occasion. Doubt he will find this any harder so a cheeky run is expected. ZARU (4) tackled the $250k Barn Dance at Randwick on Melbourne Cup Day and found it too rich. Third-up today over his pet trip and will find this far easier. Watch for a return to form. HEURISTIC (1) raced handy but was weak late at Canterbury most recently. Has forgotten how to win but coming back to the provincials with shades on might spark a revival. SISU SPIRIT (2) resumes. Opened last prep with back-to-back wins, albeit on longer races than this. Goes fast and should be prominent for a long way.

Fractions
