RAVE ABOUT IT (6) was backed from $4.80 into $3.60 on debut last start over this distance at Warwick Farm but after showing pace to the turn could not finish it off. Will take a lot from that run and around this tight circuit might prove tougher to catch. LIPSTICK (2) settled at the tail of a small field over 6 ¼f at the Kensington track last time and had trouble getting involved, passing just one runner. Has only raced at the provincials once and filled a placing so this looks a more suitable assignment. SPHERE (1) ran a better race last start when ridden quieter, getting home strongly for second over today's journey at Warwick Farm. Has her share of weight but this has less depth so she should be in the finish again. THE WAY AHEAD (13) led but weakened when resuming over 6f here recently. Fitter and back to 5 ½f is a good move. NAFANUA (4) has not raced since finishing second at odds-on on debut in heavy going at Nowra in September. Two recent trial wins are a positive sign.
