Verdict

BELGRANO (1) travelled just behind the pace and had every chance but didn't finish the race off last start over this distance at Kembla. Fitter now after two runs back from a spell and the winkers may prove to be an important gear addition. SURPASSER (7) appreciated the step up in distance when beaten narrowly over 7 ½f at Port Macquarie last time out. Getting better with racing and a further ½f today should suit. Good enough to play a significant role. WORMINGTON (8) has worked home well to finish just behind the placings in his two runs to date. Blinkers going on for the first time might provide a bit more spark so a better run is on the cards. BRAINIAC (9) is a one-paced mare who has placed just once in ten starts. Gets to the mile for the first time which could see some improvement. The lightly raced DON'T SHARE SHAMUS (2) turned in a career-best performance at Tamworth last start and is open to further improvement at the third run of the campaign.
