DITTERICH (2) gets the nod after two sound runs at this track and now reaches the right stage of his campaign. He was beaten just over half a length by Star Of Lily last start after racing close enough, and his prior second to Pietro Road reads well in the context of this field. SERENADING (5) is the main danger on profile, with the class drop out of a BM74 a clear positive and her Class 3 win two back at this venue showing she has the turn of foot to be effective when produced at the right time. PIETRO ROAD (3) has done little wrong at this track, winning two back and then missing by a nose as favourite after beginning slowly and having difficulty getting clear passing the 1 ½f. He beat Ditterich recently, so he must be respected again. NIGHTS INFERNO (7) is more a place-driven chance, but his Cootamundra third had merit after he finished strongly and was steadied late, leaving him capable of pressing the main chances if he repeats that closing effort.
