THE STARS ALIGN (8) missed the start as favourite at Canberra but it didn't matter, winding up powerfully to reel them in with something in hand. Hard not to take him seriously off that and there's no reason he can't bring up the hat trick now. GREY LAD (5) got things back on track at Wodonga, sticking on for a minor placing after leading them into the lane. He's at peak fitness and gets weight relief again with the 7lbs claimer sticking. MAGICAL MOMENTS (6) has gone under as favourite in her past two but has been far from poor. She draws well and doesn't need to improve much to bounce back to winning form. MISS HVAR (10) has left herself with far too much to do in her last two but has been rattling home late. If they roll along early, she'll be humming late. OUTCAST GIRL (11) was good first up behind Xcessive Force at Goulburn but hasn't gone on with it since. Heywood going on suggests stable confidence, so she's worth another chance.
