NOTEABEEL (3) looked to have a bit up the sleeve on debut with a solid victory over 4 ½f at Corowa. Sure to have improved further in a winnable contest. DENSETSU (4) got the job done two-back, then was comfortably accounted for with the 130lbs when seventh over 5 ½f at Bendigo, beaten 3.5 lengths. That followed a win at Echuca at the previous outing. Gets the right run and will find this more to his liking. JUSTENUFFSPLASH (7) returns from a let-up after she faded in the straight to run ninth late over 5 ½f at Wodonga on April 20. Fitted with the two trials and gets her chance. SHOOTING FOR STARS (8) just under a month between runs when she tired late from the wide gate to finish twelfth over 5 ½f at Bendigo. Goes well here and worth thought in the small field. VAINSTREAM (5) tough old gelding who retains his zest for racing. Can never be underestimated in this grade.
