CROWN THE KING (2) has the strongest class case despite finishing eleventh in a BM64 at Kembla Grange, where he was beaten four and a half lengths and lacked the same turn of foot after travelling midfield. The return from provincial company looks a genuine plus, and his overall profile rates well enough to make him the one to beat. BOTTAS (1) was sound first-up at Bendigo from a rearward position and returns to a distance range where he has already won and placed, with proven form at this venue adding weight. CLASSIC TOUCH (6) has been fourth in both runs this campaign, the latest in Class 2 company at Canberra, and should be ready to peak third-up. DEI MIRACOLI (9) is still a maiden, but had clear traffic issues at Albury, drops in weight and has more upside than most of the exposed runners.
