Verdict

OUR NOBLE BOY (8) returns a gelding for the Price team and looks to have taken the necessary steps forward during the break. He was thrown in the deep end on debut at Rosehill and never fired, but his recent Gosford trial was sharp. Draws well for Ford and is expected to be very competitive. MASKED VISION (2) couldn't quite get the job done at Canberra on debut when heavily supported but stuck on well for second. Was well backed again here last start before tailing out, though he did pull up with excuses. Collett going on signals stable intent and he's worth one more chance. LADY COWAN (6) is an I Am Invincible filly on debut for Matty Dale. Better at her second trial and keeps Boudvillain, who will need to be on his toes from the wide draw. Her stablemate CAPE EX (1) failed on debut when well backed but also had excuses. Blinkers go on for the first time and Heywood sticks. Worth another look. MATHLETES (10) hit the line hard fresh at Seymour and is one to keep in mind.
