ROSE AYE (2) resumes off narrow heavily-bet defeats here and at Albury. She flies fresh and kicked off her last preparation with a 6.5L Maiden win at Nowra. She will use the low barrier and Heywood continues his association with the Matt Dale-trained mare. Likely to be further improved and is well-placed to win. EXTRIO (10) went back early from a wide draw over 5f at Canberra but hit the line strongly beaten just 0.7L. On that effort the longer sprint is sure to suit. McDougall rides today and from an inside barrier she will be on-speed. Hit this at peak fitness and has each-way claims. ONE RUN WON (5) is Sydney-trained and at just his second race-start he demolished the Maidens at Orange by 4.2L. He was backed off the map and is on a 9-day return. He has plenty of scope for improvement. DONEGAL BAY (4) was spelled off a heavily bet Maiden win here and looked a run short as a $4 favourite at Albury first-up. Keeps an in-form hoop and is in the mix.
