POLYMER (1) first run for the Paul Snowden stable he sat off the speed before launching late with an unlucky second over 5f at Port Macquarie first-up. Has a sticky gate to contend with here but should prove too good for these. VARAZZE (10) failed on the quick back-up in the heavy (10) going with a fading sixth over 7f at Coffs Harbour. Has a good record and she gets a senior rider today. Sharp improver. PURPLE PRINCE (9) never looked comfortable in the heavy (8) going with the 130lbs when a battling last over this course and distance. Regular apprentice goes back aboard and drops 9lbs in weight here. Each way. LYKOS (5) finished runner-up at her last two outings on rain affected tracks and gets every chance from the inside draw. Among the top-three hopes.
