Stalked the speed and showed good acceleration with an effortless win over 6f at Canberra. Big chance again despite drawing a sticky gate. FINE WINE (6) frustrating filly who drops back a level for this fifth-up. Went back from the outside gate and never got into the contest when eighth over 5 ¾f at Illawarra Grange. Tempo suits and worth another chance. RIDE THE RIVER (1) racing well this prep and likely to push forward and give a ton of cheek. MILLY MOLLY MANDY (10) also looks one of the genuine hopes in the race.
