Race has been decimated by scratchings which leaves us with DEVIL RIDER (1) on top. His two runs back have been encouraging and desperate for this trip. Shouldered the 132lbs with a respectable fourth over 7 ½f at Goulburn. Anywhere near his best could win this. TAYTAY BAY (2) struggled on the quick back-up at Wagga last start. Fitter and looks a solid hope in this line-up. IT IS TO BE (6) is not a regular in the winner's stall and continued the trend last start when seventh over 1 ¼m at Albury. Out in trip and can play a role. SEPTIMUS (4) is a four-year-old gelding who punters have shunned in recent times, and he's been running accordingly. Has Heavy form though so may be worth some thought.
