COLUMBUS (4) lightly raced gelding resuming from a lengthy break. Rewarded for his consistency at his third race start with a dominant on-pace win over 1m at Hawkesbury in a Super Mdn last October. Primed with the two searching trials and gets his chance from the good draw. ROMA GREEN (7) had to work hard from the outside gate second-up with a tiring fourth over 6f at this track as an easing fav. Can hold a position over the extra distance and run a much better race. TURBULENT (9) lines up for the hat-trick today after registering a strong win from back in the field over 6 ?f at Muswellbrook. Gets in light with the claim and will be doing his best work late. FELIS CHAUS (14) holding his form and will find this more to his liking. Gripped on late with a tiring fifth to Cold Brew over 6 ½f at Rosehill in Midway grade. That form has since been franked and stays in the calculations.
